Dancing Shadows.

They Moved Beneath The Moon, swirls of liquid shadow. The soft pallid light danced, playing across their translucent skin and setting it aglow. “Dance with us,” they called, laughing gaily, silver eyes as bright as the moon glittering alluringly. I dipped behind the thin cotton of my curtain as the wind blew, my face hot. I wanted to join them. “Dance with us!” they sang, their voices like unfinished songs, lulling me towards them, pulling my heart like the strings of a guitar. “Come,” they pleaded, yet I kept my eyes closed. I couldn’t be fooled by their joyful play, for once I left the safely of my room, they would grab me and steal me away. Evil often did that…draped itself in the cover of night and presented itself as a peaceful thing. Evil often did that…appeared before you as your deepest wish, and hushed desire.
